This article will help users who need to manage their Ansys licenses understand if and what access they have to the Ansys Licensing Portal and how to manage or obtain access.
Solution
Do I have Licensing Portal access / permissions?
Not all customers do. To find out, follow the instructions below.
- Login to the Ansys License Portal.
- You must use the email you gave to Numesys or your ASC.
- If you do not have an Ansys account, follow the prompts to create one.
- When creating an account, if prompted, you do not need to register for the Customer Support space. Simply open a new tab, go to licensing.ansys.com and login.
- Once logged in, select License Portal Access to determine if and what access you have.
- If the customer number/name field is blank, you do not have access.

Note
In some less common situations, it is possible to have access to the License Portal and see your Entitlements, w/o being able view the Activations section, where FlexNet Licenses can be managed. This occurs when your company has purchased Elastic or Shared Web Licensing products AND:
- Has not purchased any FlexNet licensing products. This is expected.
- OR, your company has purchased FlexNet Licensing products but does not have access to manage them in the portal. To gain access to manage them in the portal, please contact your Numesys Account Manager or alternatively, Numesys Support.
How do I obtain Licensing Portal access?
To obtain access to the License Portal, please contact your company's Ansys Support Coordinator (ASC) to have them add you as a user. The ASC is the person who originally received your license activation email.
Important
The ASC must login using the same email address they registered with Numesys at the time of purchase. They will not have access otherwise.
If you are the ASC and do not have access (not all companies do) or do not know who your ASC is, please contact your Numesys Account Representative or Numesys Support and we'd be happy to help.
How do I add / manage Licensing Portal users?
- You must have license portal access with the role of “Ansys Support Coordinator” or “License Portal Administrator” to perform these changes.
- Login to the Ansys License Portal.
- Here you can add, remove and change user access roles.
Note: ASC's can only be added/removed by contacting Numesys Support.
