ERROR

License Manager will not start after hostname of the server was changed.

“NewHostName”: Not a valid server hostname, exiting.
Valid license server system hosts are: “OldHostName”
Using license file "C:\Program Files\ANSYS Inc\Shared Files\Licensing\license_files\ansyslmd.lic
Unable to kill lmgrd.exe. Please kill this manually by opening the Task manager and Killing the lmgrd.exe which are still running".

Description/Cause

The name of the device in which the license manager is hosted on was changed since the license file was issued. The hostname in the license file needs to match the hostname of the license manager.
