You receive this error when opening an archived workbench project file.

Description/Cause
Databases saved with a service pack for 2024 R1 cannot be read and resumed with the initial release of 2024 R1. Furthermore, this applies to each service pack update. Once the database is saved in a service pack, it is no longer compatible with the previous service pack. The application displays an error message when this situation is encountered. In summary, if a project is created in 2024R1.03, but is opened on another machine in 2024R1.02 or older, you will receive this error.

Solution
- Be sure the latest service pack is installed. Go to downloads.ansys.com to download and install service pack 3 (using the automated installer is not recommended despite the note in the header):
